Songs For Sunshine: Georgie James

I’m in love. Madly in love. With Georgie James. It’s a duo consisting of Q and not U-drummer John Davis and singer/songwriter Laura Burhenn. Doesn’t sound very special so far, does it? I mean there are lots of two-piece bands out there and many of them are boring. GJ is anything but that. Their Saddle Creek debut “Places”(yep, Saddle Creek) was recorded after touring with Camera Obscura with the production help of Aloha’s T.J. Lipple and Chad Clark of Beauty Pill. The result is a bunch of lovely indie-pop songs with bright melodies and gorgeous arrangements reminding me of Belle and Sebastian. Anyway, I should stop writing about it…Why don’t you give it a listen?

The Header is done!

yep, the header for my new blog is finally done…I think it looks really pretty, though it’s not displayed the way i wanted it to (it has the exact size…the frame isn’t displayed though) anyway…my server got shut down so the “real start” of the blog is postponed…not a lot of good news to begin with. well, i’m gonna work on everything! xoxo Ally
